Immersion vs. imagination

When I was much younger I played "football" on my atari. Remember the three on three game seemingly played by square tank looking fellows? Well anyway back in those days (early 80's) I used to play that game quite a bit. However in my mind it was Dan Fouts dropping back and throwing to either Charlie Joiner or Kellen Winslow.
