If you've ever played for a Pro Club in FIFA, you know that it is an entirely different type of video game experience.

Decades of sports gaming has programmed us to worry about the old numero uno. In the early days we were the kings of our living rooms, winning championships left and right.

Then came the cold harsh reality that we might actually suck compared to other players. Online gaming was a wake up call.

But pro clubs? Being just a cog in a bigger machine?

Managers are tasked with turning a group individuals into a team. They'll scour the academy for free agents and schedule trial sessions to see how they mesh with others in the team. On the pitch they'll pick a captain to help them out, and dictate things like their formation, tactics and strategy. After a match, its their responsibility to enter the info in our web site and make sure everything is accurate. It's a lot of work - but being the boss man makes it worth it.

And in the offseason, the fun doesn't die down. Armed with awards based on their performance, managers hit the bargaining circuit looking to buy or sell players in the transfer market.
