Royals Sign Rodriguez After Injuries
The Kansas City Royals have decided to sign relief pitcher Francisco Rodriguez after a couple of injuries to members of their bullpen. The signing comes hours after it was announced that both Greg Holland and Aaron Crow will both miss time with injuries. The move also comes just days after signing closers Brian Wilson and Jose Valverde, both who are currently in Triple-A.
The former Mets closer spent time with the Brewers in the past two years and will likely serve as either a middle reliever or as the setup man for closer Greg Holland. Rodriguez pitched 72 innings for the Brewers last season and finished the season with a 4.38 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP.
