Notes:
- Mariners first baseman Kendrys Morales was named the Player of the Game after hitting a crucial homerun in the top of the ninth inning as well as recording two other hits and four RBIs.
- The Blue Jays will try to avoid the sweep tomorrow afternoon with Brandon Morrow going up against right hander Joe Saunders.
- Blue Jays manager John Gibbons has stated that he will leave Casey Janssen in the closer role despite the fact that he blew his second straight save opportunity as well as giving up six runs in the ninth inning.
- Blue Jays catcher J.P. Arencibia did not play in the game and is listed with an undisclosed injury. He suffered the injury sliding into second base in last night's game against the Mariners.
- The Blue Jays have now lost four straight games.
