- The Jays take the first round vs. Oakland despite a shaky start for Romero who went 3 innings of 5 hit ball allowing 2 runs in a no decision. Oakland got to Romero early in the 2nd with a RBI single by Seth Smith to make it 1-0. Toronto would come back the same inning behind a Arencieba solo HR, 1-1. In the 4th, Seth Smith hit a RBI single to make it 2-1. Again the Jays would come back behind a 2-Run HR from Lawrie, and a solo HR from Arencieba (his 2nd of the game), 3-2 Jays. In the 5th, Arencieba would hit a RBI single, and Teixiera a RBI single for insurance to make it 6-2.
