Posted on April 6, 2012 at 10:56 AM.
The Jays improve to 22-3 on the season and continue their hot bats by destroying NL clubs the Padres, Giants, Cardinals, and Phillies. The team has welcomed a power surge by Brown, Bautista and newly acquired Matt Joyce, and even saw a PERFECT GAME from Henderson Alvarez, his 1st of his young career vs. Philly.

Game 22: Blue Jays 6, Padres 0:
W: Beachy (1-1) - 3IP 3H, 0ER, 3K
L: Richard (3-2) - 4.1IP 10H, 6ER, 1K
Blue Jays:

Ramirez - 2/3 R
Bautista - 1/3 HR(7), RBI, 2R, K

Freese - 1/3 R
Lawrie - 2/2 HR(5), 4RBI, R

- The Jays continue to beast, getting a 3 inning 3 hit shutout by Beachy who gets win number 1 of the season finally. Bautista smacked a solo HR, and Lawrie's RBI single made it 2-0 Jays in the 1st. In the 3rd, Lawrie smacked a 3-Run HR to make it 5-0. The final inning would see a RBI single by Howard and that's all they would need to take it 6-0. Jon Jay was hurt in this game and sent to the 15-Day DL with a shoulder injury after making a spectacular catch in CF.

Game 23: Blue Jays 9, Giants 0:
W: Chacin (4-0) - 3IP 4H, 0ER, 1K
L: Baumgarner (1-3) - 1.2IP 5H, 5ER

- Wow, what an offensive output for Toronto. The team hit 5 home runs in the game including 2 from Domonic Brown who is really thriving in that lead off role. Chacin pitched 3 scoreless innings allowing 4 hits. In the 2nd, Brown would hit a solo HR, Bautista would hit a solo HR, Freese hit a 2-Run double, and Arencieba would hit a RBI single to make it 5-0 Toronto. Next inning, Barajas would smack a 2-Run HR to make it 7-0 on his first of the year getting the start against the lefty. In the 4th, Thames would hit a solo HR, and Brown would hit another HR (his 2nd of the game) to finish the onslaught of San Francisco, 9-0.

Joyce - 1/2 HR(1), 2RBI, R

- Toronto continued the power surge with another 3 HR, and behind Jimenez's 6th win of the season pitching 3 innings of 4 hit shutout ball. In the 2nd, Joyce would hit a 2-Run HR to make it 2-0. Next inning, Lohse would give up solo HR to Bautista and Brown (making it 3 in 3 games for Jose, and 3 in 2 games for Brown). That would be it as the Jays would take it 4-0.

Game 25: Blue Jays: 6, Phillies 0:
W: Alvarez (5-0) - 5IP, 0H, 0ER, 6K
