The Jays took 2 games vs. the Red Sox including 1 in extra innings, where Call Up Ben Francisco got the winning run. They also beat Baltimore, and Seattle as well. Game 47 was the last 1 for Johnson, Lind, Bautista, Jackson, Escobar (Off DL), Young, Arencieba, and Lawrie. The full lineup for the next 5 games will be with September call ups since the team has clinched 1st place. Escobar is off the DL as well and will be shut down for the rest of the season to rest for playoffs.

- The Jays continue their streak, behind 3.1 innings of 7 hit 0 run ball from Romero who finally got back on track. Lind hit a 2-Run HR in the 2nd to break his streak of 16 games without a homer. Delmon Young hit a 2 RBI single to make it 4-0 next inning. Last inning, Lawrie singled home a run to make it 5-0.

- The Jays take a close one here behind another marvelous performance from Chacin going 4.1 innings allowing only 2 hits and fanning 2.The only offense came in inning 4, when Trayvon Robinson smacked a solo HR to make it 1-0, his 7th of the year. That would be it as it would be the only run of the game.

- Another win, and the team keeps chugging behind obviously the rookie of the year with his 8th win allowing only 1 run on 4 hits over 3 innings while striking out 2. Arencieba hit a solo HR in the 2nd, while Olivo hit a RBI single to tie it 1-1. In the 4th, Jose Bautista came through again smacking a 2-Run HR making it 3-1.

Game 47: Blue Jays 2, Red Sox 1 (7 Innings):

- Another nail biter vs. Boston see's the Jays get the win in extra innings. Beachy pitched 4 innings of 6 hit, 1 run ball, fanning 3 in the no decision. Gonzalez hit a RBI single in 1st to make it 1-0. In the bottom of the 5th, after Lawrie singled, stole 2nd and advanced to 3rd on a grounder, Arencieba hit a sacrifice fly to tie it 1-1. In the bottom of the 7th, the Jays turned to call up Ben Francisco vs. a Lefty, who came through with a RBI single to win it for Toronto.
