Games 33-35
Posted on March 24, 2012 at 07:18 PM.
The Jays had their most entertaining win in the game vs. Detroit as Kelly Johnson had a 3 HR game including a walk off in the 8th. They came back to lose the following game vs. Seattle however facing a great SP in King Felix Hernandez. They made up for that in the next game vs. Oakland with a 5-0 win to improve their record to 29-6.

Game 33: Blue Jays 7, Tigers 6 (8 Innings):
W: Villanueva (4-1), L: Alburquerque (0-1)
Blue Jays:
Jackson - 1/4 HR(2), RBI, R
Bautista - 2/4 HR (11), RBI, 2R, 2B
Lawrie - 1/4 RBI, R
Johnson - 3/4 3-HR(6,7,8), 4RBI, 3R
Luebke - 3IP 5H, 4ER, 1K
Tigers:
Peralta - 1/4 RBI, R
Cabrera - 2/3 HR, 3RBI R
Fielder - 2/4 HR, 2RBI, R, K
Goodwin - 1IP 6H, 4ER

Wow, probably the most entertaining game for the Jays this season. The game started with Toronto getting to rookie SP Doyle Goodwin as Jackson hit a solo HR vs. his old team, Lawrie had an RBI single, and Johnson put up a 2-Run HR to make it 4-0. Detroit stormed back vs. Luebke in the 3rd as Peralta RBI single, followed by Cabrera's 3 -Run HR tied the game 4-4. The same inning however, Johnson hit a solo HR his 2nd of the game to give Toronto the 5-4 lead. Santos blew his 1st save of the season when Fielder, in inning 5, drove in a 2-Run HR to give Detroit the 6-5 lead. In the bottom of 5th, Mr. Dependable, Joey Bats smacked a solo HR to tie it up. The game went into 3 extra innings and who else but Kelly Johnson smacking his 3rd HR (a solo shot) to give the Jays the 7-6 walk off victory.

Game 34: Blue Jays 1, Mariners 2:
W: Hernandez (4-3), L: Romero (4-1)
Blue Jays:
Jackson - 2/3 R, SB, K
Lind - 2/2 RBI
Romero - 3IP 5H, 2ER, 2K
Mariners:
Davis - 1/2 RBI
Montero - 1/2 RBI
Hernandez - 5IP 6H, 1ER, 2K

The Jays take a loss here off a great SP in Felix Hernandez. The only run they managed to get was in the 1st when Jackson scored on a RBI single from Lind after a stolen base got him to 2nd. In the 3rd, Ex-Jay Raja Davis got Seattle on the board with an RBI single. Montero followed him up with an RBI single to give the M's the 2-1 lead and that's how it would finish.

Game 35: Blue Jays 5, Athletics 0:
W: Chacin (7-1), L: Anderson (6-1)
Blue Jays:
K.Johnson - 1/3 HR(9), RBI, R
Bautista - 1/2 HR (12), RBI, R, BB
Lind - 1/3 R, 2B, K
Lawrie - 1/3 RBI, R, 2B
Young - 3/3 RBI, R, 2B
E.Johnson - 1/2 RBI, 3B
Chacin - 4IP 1H, 0ER, 3K
Athletics:
Anderson - 5IP 9H, 4ER, 2BB, 2K

Well it wouldn't be a Chacin victory without a 1 hitter. He has been an absolute beast collecting his 7th win, and 3rd straight 1 hit performance. In inning 2, Lawrie hit an RBI double to make it 1-0. Next inning, Elliot Johnson in his 1st game w/ Toronto on a Escobar rest game, smacked a RBI triple, followed by Bautista and Kelly Johnson each hitting a solo HR to make it 4-0. In the 4th, Young capped the scoring and a good game for him on his 3rd hit of the game doubled home a run to end the scoring, 5-0 Toronto.
