The Boston Celtics say good bye to captain and top scorer Paul Pierce. They Traded Paul Pierce along with PF/C Andray Blatche to Dallas for PF Dirk Nowitzki & PG JJ Barea. The Celtics needed to shed Pierce's contract and it was up next season, and instead they get elite PF Dirk who currently has a 2 year deal. In order to get it to work they also got a better PG in Barea to backup Rondo while saying bye to Blatche. Pierce was very upset to be moved, but understands and thanks everyone for all the time spent in Boston. Word is that he may return next year for cheap to play 1 more year with Boston.
