Striker - Andrea Martinetti

A strong offensive team like my West Ham team requires an offensive player who transcends the sport. Andrea joined the team originally as a 21 year old, but left for a year and a half until former striker Luka Djordjevic demanded transfer. Needing a star striker, I brought back the young Italian and he immediately exploded.

Last season, he won his first golden booth with 21 league goals and 28 total. This year, however, he's become the clearly most dominant scoring threat worldwide. In 37 games at the time of this posting, he has 40 total goals. 25 goals in 22 EPL matches, 12 in 9 Champions Cup matches and 3 in the 5 domestic cup matches he played.

Forming a formidable duo with star midfield player Fransico Prats Bastidas, he has carried my team all season. There have been problems though, as he's been linked to rumours involving a move away from the club. Although he's reassured the management and fans of his intentions to stay, his demeanor has stayed fairly poor lately.

Andrea Martinetti's scoring touch looks to hold West Ham atop the league for the foreseeable future. Bookies are starting to wonder how many goals he can score this year. His leadership will continue to help while young strikers like Shaun McGlashan and Josh Kitson continue to refine their craft.
