In the second trade by the Los Angeles Kings under their new management, they add another defenceman in exchange for beleaguered forward, Dustin Penner.
To Toronto Maple Leafs:
LW - Dustin Penner
To Los Angeles Kings:
D - John-Michael Liles
Adding mobility to the back-end, Liles bring some veteran offensive experience and some decent speed. Expected to play with Matt Greene to start the season, he'll mostly help the team on the powerplay, which struggled mightily at times during the 2011-12 season.
