Transactions:

Trade Deadline:

To San Jose Sharks:

LW - Chuck Kobasew
RW - Andreas Nodl

To Dallas Stars:

LW - Ryan Clowe

Analysis:
Hard to say no to this offer from the Sharks. Nodl is the only one of the departing guys to play in the NHL this season, posting only 18 points in almost 60 games, Kobasew led my AHL team in points but was taking up a roster spot from a prospect. Clowe has 55 for the Sharks so will be able to add some offence to the bottom 6, where he'll be playing to start. Good deal for me.

Regular Season Results:

Record: 52-22-8

3.33 Goals For Per Game (1st in NHL)
2.28 Goals Against Per Game (3rd in NHL)
21.2% Powerplay Efficiency (4th in NHL)
85.2% Penalty Kill (3rd in NHL)

Regular Season Review:

Well, after a very slow start, Roberto Luongo carried the team until December, that's when the young guns got hot and started scoring. We were in the bottom 20 for Goals For at the All-Star game, so we really came on strong in the end. Our defensive game was strong all season and the young players like Schwartz and Schultz really impressed in their first NHL season and Teemu Selanne was able to score enough to get him well over the 700 Career goal plateau. Going into the playoffs as the second seed, expectations are high for myself and the fanbase in Dallas. Unfortunately, in the 81st game, veteran defenceman Rob Scuderi went down with a broken wrist and will be out for 6-7 weeks. Steven Kampfer will replace him on the 3rd pairing.
