Game Notes
After an 0-2 start the Lions seem to be back on track with two straight division victories over the Bears and Vikings. Meanwhile the Saints are going in reverse with three straight losses since a week 2 victory over the Rams. New Orleans QB Drew Brees is playing at his usual level with 10 TDs and nearly 1,500 yards through the first 5 games, but even he can't carry a depleted offense that is lacking a true threat in the backfield. Add in a defense that can't stop the run and that is a recipe for disaster. While the Lions still have holes in their secondary, the defense is making enough plays to offset their struggles. The Lions have won three straight games against the Saints and the overall series is tied at 12-12-1.
