Game Notes
After missing the last two games with a torn shoulder, Lions QB Matthew Stafford returns under center for Detroit. Meanwhile the Vikings will be without star HB Adrian Peterson as he recovers from a quad tear suffered in week 4's loss to the Packers. The Lions also have WRs Golden Tate and Taylor Gabriel back from injury. Minnesota has struggled in the passing game with Sam Bradford at the helm with just 188 passing yards per game. Meanwhile the Lions defense has struggled to defend against the pass, allowing upwards of 280 passing yards per game. Detroit is seeking its first home win of the season after dropping primetime home games to the Giants and Packers. Both teams could use a win as the 3-1 Packers lead the NFC North.
