Despite throwing three interceptions, Jake Rudock threw 3 touchdowns and over 300 yards in a 40-19 victory over the Bears at Soldier Field.

Rookie receiver Bobby Herrera had his breakout game with 6 catches, 102 yards and a touchdown. The 2nd round pick out of Cincinnati saw an increase in playing time with injuries to Golden Tate and Taylor Gabriel. Not to be outdone, Marvin Jones played his best game of the short season so far, with 6 catches, 149 yards and a touchdown.

While Bears rookie QB Joseph Cochran threw for over 300 yards and a couple touchdowns, a late pick six by Darryl Morris put the game out of reach. The Lions defense was up to the task of stopping 2nd-year back Jordan Howard, holding him to just 49 yards on the day.

Overall the Lions got a much needed win and it couldn't come at a better time as Detroit heads into their week 4 bye week. Rumors are swirling of Stafford's availability for week 5's game against Minnesota. Stafford is expected to practice this week and a determination will be made sometime next week.
