The Lions led in almost every major category Sunday night except one. 5 Detroit turnovers were the difference as the Giants advantageous defense picked off Matthew Stafford and Jake Rudock twice each in a 27-12 loss.

Aside from the loss, the biggest takeaway from the game was a late third quarter injury to Matthew Stafford as he left the game with a apparent shoulder injury. No tests have been done yet, but initial signs point to him being out at least next week against Green Bay.

If Stafford is to miss time, it shall be 2nd-year QB Jake Rudock out of Michigan to take the starting role. His first start would be a tall order as he faces the Packers on Monday Night Football.
