Cowboys deal Romo to Denver for Siemian and draft picks

Where would would Romo play in 2017? That was the question that everyone was asking as the veteran QB made it known he wanted to play for a contender. Well the Broncos answered the call and paid a hefty price as they dealt two draft picks and former starting QB Trevor Siemian to bring in Tony Romo.

What does this mean for the Cowboys? This is now undoubtedly Dak Prescott's team after a marvelous rookie season leading Dallas to a division title and a 1st round bye in the playoffs.

For the Broncos it means they might be on a short list of contenders, but the AFC West may be the toughest division with two 12-team win teams from a season ago in Kansas City and Oakland. Can Romo lead Denver to the promise land like another aging veteran did a couple season's ago? Only time will tell, but the Broncos have an elite defense paired with what looks like a potent offense.
