Georgia State Hires Zach Fanko as Offensive Coordinator

Georgia State has finally settled their staff as they prepare for their first season in FBS football. Head coach Trent Miles welcomed Zach Fanko as the new offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator for the Panthers.

A surprising choice by some close to the program considering how young Fanko is, 27, but he does have valuable experience coaching at the D-1 level after recently leaving Michigan State after 4 seasons as their offensive line coach. Fanko wants to implement a one-back system, one similar to the pro-style attack the Panthers have been running the past few seasons.

"I'm excited and thankful for this opportunity" said Fanko, "I can't wait to get out on the practice field and begin the season."

Georgia State kicks off the season against FCS Samford.
