The Lions open up the 2012 season at home as they welcome in the Rams who are led by future hall of fame head coach Jeff Fisher who is in his 1st season with the Rams after 16 seasons in Tennessee. St. Louis is looking to improve from last season's 2-14 record while the Lions are thinking playoffs again this season after winning 10 games a year ago.
