Everybody that watched last year dunk contest will agree with me: it sucked. Just watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYgv7bJ5WbU
So, if we can get a good dunk contest, we're going to need some true high-flyers that are creative. No more Gerald Wallace. So this year's dunk contest should include dunkers like (assuming the superstar level players aren't interested):
Blake Griffin
DeMar DeRozan
J.R. Smith
Nate Robinson

With the last pay-per-view of 2010 concluding last Sunday (TLC), we can now look towards the first PPV of the new year: Royal Rumble. This is one of my favourite pay-per-views. I'm going to hazard a guess at the matches that will be on the card. Note: I put these in the order I assume they'll be in.
Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Jack Swagger and/or Kofi Kingston
Winner: Jack Swagger (or Kofi if Swagger isn't in the match)
Dolph has been the champion for a long time. I ... Read More

This Saturday, we witnessed two blockbuster deals in which the likes of Vince Carter, Rashard Lewis, Gilbert Arenas and Jason Richardson were swapped. However, there are two months before the trade deadline, and ideally, they will be used.
Atlanta receives: Brendan Haywood and J.J. Barea
Dallas receives: Josh Powell and Jamal Crawford
This trade would help both teams a lot. Brendan Haywood would move out of a bad situation in Dallas to one in Atlanta where he could ... Read More

Sitting one game above .500 following tonight's game against the Dallas Mavericks, it's no secret the Miami Heat, as of right now, are failing expectations to the point where Mark Cuban looks like a genius.
All the people on the bandwagon (including me) are disappointed. With Haslem's potentially season-ending injury and the questionable release of Jerry Stackhouse for Erick Dampier instead of, say, Jamaal Magloire, we don't have much to be happy about. Looking into the future, I'm ... Read More

For a few years, this debate has been purely Deron Williams against Chris Paul.
Not anymore.
Now, we can throw in Rajon Rondo to make it three premier PGs duking it out for the title of league's best.
Let's study the stats: Rondo leads the league in assists, and it's not even close. 14.9 assists, with Deron and Paul averaging 10.2 and 9.9 respectively. However, keep in mind Rajon has better teammates to pass to and both him and Deron average five more minutes than Chris. ... Read More

This year's MVP race will be interesting with LeBron's stats going down now that he's on Miami. I'd like to remind everyone that stats aren't everything in the MVP race, and that team records count too. If the Miami Heat can pull off 65+ wins or so, the MVP trophy will most likely go to LeBron again regardless of stats (as long as they're better than Wade's). Still, he's not the only player with a realistic chance at the MVP trophy.
