I am wondering if anyone uses gamefly.com or is it as good as it seems. It appears to be to good to be true and is it free. I have never heard anyone using the website and wonder if any professional gamers have ever used it.

I used gamefly for a few months. You are charged on a monthly basis depending on whether you have 1 or 2 games out at a time. I found the service to be very good (very similar concept and service level to Netflix). Also, they occasionally reduce their inventory of games and sell some games that have been out for less than a year at great prices. That was a nice feature because they send you the complete case and manual too (rather than just the game disc which they send when you rent). I just couldn't justify paying a monthly fee for my limited gaming but for what it is, I thought it was a good service.

I've used GameFly off and on and found their service to be satisfactory. I'm in KC, MO so I'm not sure how that effects shipping. I would usually try to have an open slot if a new game was coming out that I really wanted. Typically, games that were to be released on Tuesday would ship on Monday and be in my mailbox on Wednesday. Not bad for the price if your gaming budget is tight.

I personally didn't like the service very much. I had issues with receiving games in a timely fashion (being an hour away from the center, I don't think this should have been an issue), if I received any games at all. There were times whenever I'd have 8 games in my Queue, most of them "High" in-stock and I'd check the website after 5-days, the normal time I had to wait for a game, only to find out that they never sent me a game out in the first place.
