2k problems
Posted on January 16, 2012 at 02:56 PM.
I have to wonder why after all these years has 2k not fixed the problems in their games. I now from D Coop a code has been used since like 2000 but still it should be updated and the bugs should be fixed.

Sorry about not being specific enough. I am talking about NBA 2K. The problems are like the terrible defense in My Player, the three-point shot success (they fixed it a little), and the inability to use pick and rolls. Also, the code thing I have not been able to find the video where he was talking about it but let me tell you. The code is for the sort of basic structure sort of of making the basketball game. It is allowed by 2K to tweak and refine it to make it better over the years but it has not changed since about 2000. That is why leaving defenders has been a flaw in NBA 2K games for a long time now. If you have any more questions just leave a comment in this blog. Over and out.

I just attempted to play 3 games offline against the AI. I agree with you. This game is a poor representation of nba basketball. Alot of things about this game make me angry, buy I will list only a few.
1. Passing. The passing wasn't spectacular in 2k11, but it's just down right sad in 2k12. I don't think I have to elaborate.
2. Speed and controls. I believe the lack of a speed factor, and poor controller response attribute to alot of gameplay issues. These issues weren't that obvious or non-existant in 2k11.
3. Offensive rebounding. This is beyond out of controll in 2k12. I can't count how many times I've have someone boxed out, or 3 to 4 of my teammembers boxing out around the basket, and a lone defender comes up with the rebound. On top of that it's usually a guard.
I can go on but I will stop here. But before I go, the thing that makes me the most upset is that these issues were not present in 2k11, at least not to this extent. So my question to 2k staff members who may be visiting this site or checking for feedback, is why? If these issues were'nt in the last game, why are they in this one? How could you release a so called "basketball sim video game," when something as fundamental as passing, is a wreck? You guys got all the tats right, you can here players refering to other players (get Labron), but the gameplay is subpar. I don't understand it. Is presentation and cosmetics more important than gameplay?
