First off, it's just about the perfect size. It's thick, but not too thick, it's lighter than it looks, the buttons are nice and clicky and the screen is actually better than expected. I was worried it'd be too bold/unnatural like a lot of the cell phones that use OLED screens, but it actually looks more like my high end Sony TV than a cell phone. I didn't take note of the sound or even try to turn it up; that just never crossed my mind.
The menu system is nice, but unlike anything I've used before; there is a lot of swiping to be done and the different pages, for a lack of a better word, go in different directions, so that'll take some getting used to. I couldn't figure out how to close apps, but you can search through open apps like you did in Palm's webOS.
The only game available was Little Deviants. The level I loaded up was a flying level where you tilted to go left and right around obstacles while the character kept going forward at a constant pace. The game was nice and colorful and the framerate didn’t hiccup once. I thought it would load faster.
The only other things I have to mention are that the Trophy system is laid out much like that of the PS3 and that Near notified me of another Vita in range of the one I was using, so I guess they've got two in the store. I didn't reserve one last night, but I think I'll probably be doing so along with a copy of Hot Shots Golf.
If you’re interested, call and see if your Best Buy has got a demo unit!

I suppose you could somewhere... Although, Best Buy probably wouldn't be your best bet. Amazon does trade ins for credit though. You just search for the itme you want to trade in and if they except it, it's listed on the right underneath the prices that you can get it for New and Used.

As soon as they make a football game, a hockey game and a GTA game, I'll be in. Until then, my PSP will hold up fine.
