The offices of El Segundo are always the same, Los Angeles is always the same, Venice Beach is always the same, Staples is always the same: what has changed is the universe around, the universe of NBA 2k11: stuff for tough people. The Barbatrucco's philosophy, however, remains unchanged: social-democracy substitutions, enhancement of the bench, shot who is open and Triple Post Offense. And in a team, I don't want duplication players. I've got very clear ideas for my bench (Blake, Brown, Odom/Walton, Powell, Mbenga, Morrison), Vujacic and Barnes I don't need. I do a flash easy negotiation with the Hawks, sending Theo Ratliff to Atlanta in exchange of Josh Powell's return, then I dedicate myself to the Serbian and Barnes. I have to think about the future, I think that "Lamarvellous" has 2-year contract and will not be renewed in summer 2K13, I need a young promising but still in the shadow. I had already identified it in NBA 2k9, but now I can do my own, exchanging him for Matt Barnes: this is Earl Clark, 3-4, 22 year old from Phoenix Suns. The next two years learning from Odom will make it ready for future replacement. Vujacic is therefore to place, and here again I look to the future. I send him to Cleveland and in addition put on the truck the first Lakers choice in the next Draft: in exchange for Vujacic choice, I get the 2K13 first round Draft pick of the Cavaliers. Now I drive a starting five ("Fish", Kobe, Artest, Gasol, Bynum) and a solid bench (Blake, Walton, Brown, Odom, Clark, Powell, Mbenga, Morrison). The goal? Always the same, win the last game of the season. Which means only a thing
