NBA 2K unesplicable situations
Posted on August 3, 2013 at 03:51 AM.
NBA 2K is the greatest videogame saga of basketball history, no doubt. But there are some situations unexplained and simply correctable for the next edition. I hope 2K engeneers look at this to correct those pesky ingame situations.

1. THE CAMERA. We all look the basketball on TV and a basketball video game should be playing like what we see a real game on TV, because we play looking at a screen as well as watch TV.
If cameraman in an NBA basketball game makes me a shot like this with no sense, a shot into nothingness, the TV director will fire him.

So, we the camera take a shot into the nothingness? You have to correct this.

2. THE PICK N ROLL. Ok ok, the pick 'n roll has completely tainted the game of basketball. But here you are exaggerating. Steve Nash dribbles the ball in the half court and Pau Gasol goes out immediately to make him a pick 'n roll in the half court? No sense.

You have to correct this.

3. THE EXULTATION. Ok, do not look at Glen Davis with the Lakers jersey , it's just a market move of my second year of the Association. Look at his exultation. What is it? Indicates random somewhere in the field (not the player who gave him the assist) with no sense and makes up and down with the head? This is the worst, and most common, rejoicing in NBA 2K13. General exultation that many players do and that is so unnatural as to ruin the gaming experience.

Take it out this generic orrible exultation!!! It's better a no exultation that THIS exultation.

4. DEFENSIVE MOVE. sliding defensive move. Often some players make a sliding defensive move in the half court. No sense. You see players move in defense as crabs in areas of the field where it is not necessary to make a defensive move like this.

Correct it!

5. THE CRAB MOVE. Kobe scores and then... what? What movements are those? Why he moves like a crab and without turning back? He's not alone like when he shot a three, he knows that there are the defenders behind , so why he came back on defense without turned back? No sense.

6. And at the end this situation here...

With all the available space, Kobe back to the bench alongside Nash and moving him away to make room?? Why?? This situation turns into a real mess when the team returns to the locker room. Players dodging other players or coaches, players who seem to stop suddenly, no naturalness.

Excuse me all for my english, I'm Italian. I wrote this post, addressed to engineers 2K but also to all of you who love NBA2K. I found this situations in the first five minute of the game, so in the entire game there are a lot of other pesky (and correctable!) situations. Report with videos or gif in the comments to this post situations that NBA2K could correct or improve to have a NBA2K14 best possible.

Thanks to all

I see what you're going for here. To a certain Extent, you're completely correct.
But I think points 1 and 6 are either explainable or maybe it's just me taking a little imaginative licsense.
Point 1)
If this was a real game with a real cameraman and director working in the truck, that shot would be totally explained that the player obviously bumped into the cameraman. And the switch in the studio didn't catch it in time. Personally, I like that shot. It adds the feeling of reality to the game.
As does point 6) Whenever I see players bumping into each other during breaks in the action, I always thought that was intentional.
The clip you showed was obviously Kobe being unhappy about something Nash did or didn't do the previous play, and he's letting Nash know about it in no uncertain terms. I also see opponents doing the bump as well. Like I said, I take that as guys jawing at each other. In fact, I think it's in the game deliberately, because I've been watching it in my own Association all season, and there always seems to be a pattern. Some guy gets hit in the face, the next break he bumps the guy who hit him. It's intentional.
However, the end of game reactions are way too subdued. The teams should run to the tunnels, not stand around.
