With a win under my belt I am confident I can get another, as the Los Angeles Clippers are not a team that generates fear in their opponents. Well, maybe that is going to change.

I had seen their tall tandem of Kaman (who played on the German national team along with Dirk Nowitzki!) and Gryphon. I mean Griffin. But I underestimated their impact on the game. 28/26 pts, 13/15 rebs plus 4 ast, 2 stl, 5 blks on a combined 24-37 shooting proved to be unattainable for my tired squad (or was it me?).

The end result was 111 : 98 for the Clippers.

Gordon pitched in another 22 and unknown Aminu used my sagging off of him to add 17. The lesson here: I don't yet have a game plan I can use on a twin tower combination. Especially Kaman was terrifying in the post-up game, next time I definitely need to double-team him. Which usually results in easy jumpers for others.

*sigh*

The bright spot was that my offense performed adequately, with
Jefferson being the higher scorer on 27, 10 rbds, and Williams with 26, 5 asts. Kirilenko had a slightly better shooting percentage than usual (5-11 for 11 pts), but Miles disappointed once more with 2-7 shooting, Hayward had 6.
