Suns blotting out the sky

Now this is eerie.

Going into the second game against the suns I only practiced a little bit, mostly dribbling moves. What I told myself was to reduce the numbers of turnovers.

All in all the Jazz played a good game - 12 TOs, 50% FG, we got more to the free throw line and scored over 100 pts.

It just wasn't enough, though. PHOENIX scored on the outside, Nash dished 20 assists, even on some of those long streaking passes that infuriate you (because the CPU always catches those, but your own players don't wth?).

Jefferson finally found some of his game with 27 points and Williams scored 21 (albeit only 6 assists).

It feels like we are getting some where - offensive execution is better, but the playbook still sucks. It's going to take some time to find the right plays (some of them outright take to long to set up, bringing me over the 24 second-limitation three times).

One thing though: The CPU players challenged under the basket nearly always got the lucky roll and the foul, while my players got neither. Feels a bit unfair (not touching the sliders yet). And playing defense is awfully hard. Gotta turn to the forums for points on it.

Now what is eerie is that watching the real game felt so similar. Nash threw long passes to streaking team mates, when you double-teamed somebody they'd always find somebody outside to score and even when you had a little run and scored well - they just scored more.

I dread jinxing the real Jazz by playing the next game against the excellent thunder, lest my computer efforts somehow magically predict the real thing... ;-)
