Raiders finish (3-1) in the preseason

Well i got to say that the offense is just surprising me in each game, the passing game is so awesome but we still need the ground game to improve, DMC never played the whole preseason which kinda pissed me off, then Bush gets hurt in the 2nd or 3rd game and he should be back by Season Opener against the Titans. DHB is stepping his game up and playing like he did at Maryland, he is making plays so thats good, Jacoby Ford is playing like Cliff Branch a bit with going deep, Louis Murphy is just playing like Louis Murphy, but we need to keep a eye on him for injuries, we also need to keep up on Chaz Schilens cause of his injuries. If Chaz gets injured for most of the season again then Tom Cable will most likely cut him or trade him after the season is over. The O-line still needs lots of improvement, Veldheer will probably either start as a OT or at C, Bruce Campbell im not sure about yet, I think we need to trade Robert Gallery in the middle of the season for someone a bit good and a draft pick or two. Finally the QBs, Jason Campbell was injured and didnt play in the game against the Seahawks, Cable said he was fine and will be ready to go against the Titans. Bruce "Almighty" Gradkowski, he just keeps getting better and better, I dont know what to say between choosing Campbell or Gradkowski, they are just good, but if i had to choose the best out of the two, i would go with Gradkowski cause he seems the more accurate, team leader, better decision type of guy.

The defense is also surprising me, first off is the D-line, Lamaar Houston is going to be excellent, Richard Seymour is going to play good but i dont think as good as last season, but we will see. It seems like we are actually stopping the ground game but one bad thing is that trying to defend the pass is looking kinda hard to stop. Next off is the LBs, Kamerion Wimbley.....just wow, i didnt really think he would be that good but damn was i wrong, he got a few sacks in the 2nd game against the Bears and i was impressed. Rolando McClain lead the team with 10 tackles in the Preseason. Trevor Scott is looking pretty decent and he can play both OLB and DE. Next is the DBs, i think everyone knows who i would go to first. Nnamdi Asomugha, he didnt really play that much in the preseason but its only to keep him healthy because he is the heart and soul of this team, and without him we would be the worst team in the NFL. Chris Johnson.....he is not looking good at all. W. McFadden and J. Ware still need alot of improvment. Next would be Stevie Brown, he is stepping up big time to play a Safety spot with just being wherever the ball is, same with Mike Mitchell. M. Huff is a horrible tackler and i would take Mike Mitchell and Stevie Brown to share the spots at FS and trade Huff for a CB or draft picks if we could. I havent seen the underrated Safety Tyvonn Branch that much but he looks like the same from last year.

Well if i see the outlook on the season, i would say they will have at least 8 wins. But i think by next year, if everything goes right like next years draft, free agency, and other things, we can be in the playoffs.

I've been saying to anyone who'll listen that the Raiders have been improving slowly but surely that past three years. The replacement of Russell with Campbell and the development of the young guys has us set for a breakout year in 2010-2011.

I'll be at the opener at the Titans- my first time seeing the Raiders in person! Can't wait!
