Getting to know me, as a sports gamer

As my first blog, I figured it'd be best to describe a brief history of my sports gaming hobby, as well as an idea of what my favorites are among the sports gaming genre.

I've been playing sports video games now for almost two decades, since the Blades of Steel days. There have been many great titles that have come around in this time. I feel very privileged to have seen the genre develop from almost nothing, to something that's almost an exact replication of what goes on in the professional sport itself in real life. Over the years, I've always had a preference for hockey video games. Though, I really do enjoy almost every form of sports video gaming.

Right now, I'm currently playing a lot of MLB: The Show, NBA 2k9, and Madden 09. So, many of my upcoming blogs will probably involve some of my dynasties/topics dealing with those games.

Oh yeah, one last detail about myself. Here's my teams:

Chicago Bears
Detroit Red Wings
Detroit Pistons
Michigan Wolverines
Detroit Tigers

Pretty much in that order.
