I think it would be a billion times better than madden! Would def be the most realistic football game on the market! And the presentation would blow maddens bs so called presentation out of the water. Damn shame EA has that license and doesnt know how to use it right. I mean look at the nba 2k series, nfl 2k would be sooo great not even funny. Oh well it is what it is thanks lazy EA bastards!

I think if 2K was able to make a NFL game it would be All Pro with NFL teams. I do agree that its presentation package would be strong.

Funny people hating on All Pro but it wasnt a horrible gamel ! You guys forget it was their first shot at a football game on next gen. It wasnt great but it wasnt horrible. It's a great game of solid realistic sim football. Yeah mlb 2k sucks but 2k has always had solid football games! I guess madden sucks soo much ppl find it hard to believe 2k can do better. But based on 2k track record with football I know 2k would produce a very solid great nfl game! They know how to develope their games and had time with this gen so i hardly doubt it would be all pro with NFL teams. But hey everyone is entitled to their opinions and not that mine is correct or anyone elses is wrong. But imo i know they would have a very solid football game b/c all pro did all the little things and important right!

Because people just ASSUME that because NFL 2K5 was legendary that the series would automatically improve with the times.

I switched the mode from exhibition to holiday in play now.
Guess what I got?
A red bar that said "holiday" right underneath the scoreboard.

I bet 2k is developing a football game as we speak just waiting for the license cause they obviously come to this site and listen to what we have to say. When they do get it GOODBYE MADDEN and EA for good !!!!!

It would be everything Madden's not, a awesome game of football. The core basics of football would be present, which Madden still lacks with it's suction blocking and jetpacking to make up for the obvious flaws the game has. Also we would actually get broadcast presentation. Not add team intros, and a few wide angle lense shots and call it "all new presentation, true to the game!"

here is what we know.

1. commentary would be waaaay better
2. halftime an post game high lights
3. more stat banners during game
4. passing has trajectory. an u lead reciever based on his route
5. oline/dline animations better
6. more customization
7. deeper franchise mode
8. better replays and analysis
9. PENALTIES!! pass interference!! intentional grounding!! late hit! offsetting penalties!!
10. dynamic weather

here is what we know.

I have to disagree with this whole-heartedly. APF was - and is in many ways - still better than the latest Madden., given i've only played the demo. What I did like though, was the new impact/tackling engine they've implemented this year. But what else is there, in terms of improvements compared to the NBA2K series?

If NBA2K is anything to go by, then improvements from 2K5 would have been more than possible. 2K have shown that, even without competition, they don't hold back in trying to create a simulation title. What reason would they have to stop at NFL 2K5, knowing that it was a perfect foundation to continue to build on?

What do I think NFL2K12 would be like? A game that would mirror what we see with their NBA titles... It's that simple.

If you are going to use NBA 2K as a guideline to what NFL 2K12 would be then you also need to use MLB 2K which is pretty awful. 2K would no doubt have great presentation. But to assume that because NBA 2K is so good that NFL would be too is wrong. Not too long ago people were complaining about the bug infested NBA 2K10 with it's HORRIBLE online.
I would love to see NFL 2K introduced again just for the competition and consumer choice.

Look at it like this...what was a better game for its sport at the time - NBA 2k5 or NFL 2k5? Then assume that they would both continue on the path they were on. Imagine a NFL2k12 that is even better than NBA 2k12.

And don't even try it with MLB. MLB 2k5 was pretty crappy (glitchfest). It has continued on its predicted path since that time.

@Retropyro and so many others, you must not know the history of 2k...... First and foremost 2kFootball was ALWAYS their best sports game they ever made, then followed by Nba 2k. Later down the road they made a baseball game which blue shift I believe developed and then they took it back. They never really made a good baseball game or hockey game for that matter.

Since the Dreamcast days they were ALWAYS known for Football as Basketball. More so the company Visual Concepts developed Early version of Madden football on the genesis and later on they left and formed their own company. So with all of this said if they were still making a Football game it would simply be the best sports game to date. Football was their best game they ever made.

All-Pro football is actually a very good game that many people try to say it wasn't due to poor sales. All-Pro still has things that Madden 2012 still doesn't. lets just hope that Nfl2k can one day return.....
