[Tuscalossa] In a game that was a defensive match until the fourth quarter, UMass rose above another top 25 ranked opponent in #8 Alabama. 3 touchdowns and 3 field goals were scored in the fourth quarter alone. More than all other 3 quarters combined. Alabama was certain they had the win once they scored with 0:21 left in the game. With 2 timeouts left, UMass was in decent field position after a Q. Smith kick return of 27 yards. Pagel's screen pass accrued 13 more yards as UMass crossed the 50 yard line. A strategic draw play placed the ball in the middle of the field where UMass used their last timeout. 0:03 seconds left and Levengood once again proved to be UMass's clutch performer, giving UMass the lead as the clock hit 0:00.
