[Kalamazoo] If UMass entered this season with something to prove, everybody should take notice. They are sending everybody a message! A few weeks after upsetting Michigan's blue and gold team, the Minutemen return to slaughter their Broncos. After a well played first quarter, things got out of hand for Western Michigan. Pagel threw for an easy 5 touchdowns on 16 completions! As for the running game, it's fair to say that UMass had a tandem duo with Cox and Williams both coming through in back field. While Williams gained 83 yards rushing, Cox recorded the only rushing touchdown for UMass. "It's something that I saw coming and it doesn't bother me," said Cox after the game. "We compliment each other well! And it's a great thing knowing that there are 2 people that can provide the results needed!"

UMass is going into their bye week with a 2-0 record in conference play, a win against a top 10 team, and some outstanding achievements so far. One has to wonder what type of attention may be coming their way soon.
