Well as we look around as this football season is fast approaching we can see that many teams are on the move and switching places. Texas and Iowa State leave the Big 12 to head over to the SEC, also from the PAC 12 comes CAL and Colorado. So now the new and improved SEC consist of the teams of the west being Alabama, Auburn, Texas, Cal, Ole Miss, and Iowa State. And over in the east we have South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Colorado.
So as the first week approaches everyone is on a BYE!!!! What is this... O wait we do have one game and its a Match up between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Iowa State Cyclones, so lets jump into the action. We will start in the first quarter as Iowa State on their opening drive capped it on a beautiful pass to the back of the endzone for the first score of the game. The 29 yard strike made it 7-0 ISU, but Kentucky didn't take long to turn around and set up an amazing screen that went 77 yards as E.Allen rushed down the sideline making the defenders miss. We jump into the action in the second quarter as J. Woody finally gets something going as he breaks an 80 yards run up the middle for the TD. So with ISU up 14-10 Kentucky comes marching down the field and throws a 21 yard strike with 2:30 left in the half. But that was to much time as ISU took it down the field finishing with an 8 yard scamper by Woody. After the half both defenses made adjustments, but ISU was to much for Kentucky as they added another TD in the third and put the nail in the coffin as Benton picked off a rattled Newton who had been harrassed all game long. So the final score of this one ended up Iowa State 31 Kentucky 17. Tune in next week as we continue are journey to see who will be the next Champion.
