It's The Shoes Money!...

Not gonna take credit for this. I heard this years ago, even before that Sean Livingston cat snapped his twig in his rookie year as a Clipper.

But looking at this injury for the Louisville player, I gotta admit...I think it is the shoes man.

Shoe technology has gotten so good in the past 10-15 years, I mean they are too good for their own...well,...good.

They brace and lock in the ankle tighter than Buzz Aldrin on the Apollo rocket. The soles stop on a dime with no sliding or skidding. These aren't your Grandad's Chuck Taylors hoss.

Point being, there comes a point when a shoe just needs to give a little, allow for some momentum to be absorbed. Be it sliding, skidding, or letting the ankle buckle a bit. Nowadays, if something is gonna give...it is gonna be some players bones.

Just an opinion. I could be wrong.
