and hasn't been back since. I salute him for showing that he just wants to WIN! Not enough pro athletes are like that. He's taking less money and he's no longer in spotlight by himself. His teams haven't been good enough and it wasn't looking like they were going to be good enough next year. Makes no sense to make a whole city happy and make yourself somewhat sad. Not as if it matters, but I gained a new level of respect for Lebron... Joining D.Wade(28) and C.Bosh(26) with himself(25), they will win atleast 3 or 4 championships together, maybe more. I wish him best of luck, just not against the Lakers.

Its tough to say his teams were not good enough, having best record the last 2 years and him having a far inferior team 3 years ago and go to the finals.

I kind of agree and kind of don't. First, to say that pro athletes don't want to win is like saying people don't want to eat. I think too much is made of the salaries but inside pro athletes are players who train all year long for one goal -- to win.
As far as LeBron being selfless...Uh, don't think so. The guy made a spectacle of his announcement. The self promotion in regards to his episode "The Decision" was his idea. As far as LeBron taking less money. Uh, yeah like a guy who is getting multi-millions of dollars from endorsements and is still making $20 million per...It is not as if he said I will take the league minimum.
Don't get me wrong, I have no issues with LeBron putting himself in a better position to win but he was hardly selfless in doing so.

LeBron is not really making less money because there is no state income tax in Florida.

It's not tough to say his teams weren't good enough... They didn't win. Therefore, they were not good enough. It's simple logic. They were not even good enough to beat the Celtics.

I agree with this blog, and people who don't agree with this are haters. The man made a smart decision imo. He got tired of making it to the playoff and coming out with nothing. As for the fan in cleveland and the GM, they acting like spoiled a** kids.
