Its pretty much the only football game...but it is horrible compared to other sports titles like NBA2k, and MLB the show.

horrible might be a bit much. Everything that can be done on a football field can be done in Madden, just as whatever can be done on a baseball field can be done in the show the same for 2K. You can knock them for not having the best o-line/d-line interactions, the show has wacky home plate collisions and 2k12 has horrible passing. I wouldn't say they are the gold standard because for every flaw that Madden has both of those titles have one to equal.

I agree that madden 13 has set an amazing foundation. no hate here. Though there are things missing you can feel that solid foundation has finally been laid down. Madden 14 should rule the roost! To each their own for thier 2ksports. But if you played CC mode in madden, the commentators are the best in Madden history! they have history, they remember week to week.

I think a lot of haters have to remember it is $60 not life or death.
