Rating the BEST MADDEN Games of ALL TIME...

So yes, we've seen many threads like this come and go but I want to resurface this once again and get people talking about their favorite Madden games and why!

For me this gen, I have had every version of the game since the Genesis days and I can think of a few that stand out for me

I liked Madden 10 from the Pre Gen days and for some strange reason I find myself going back to Madden 16 on the Next Gen systems more then Madden 17, 18 and 19

Im not really sure why, but for some reason the game feels more organic, players feel smaller and more natural looking in comparison to the field dimensions and there is less of a scripted feel to the gameplay

I may be wrong in these observations but I challenge and welcome all your feedback to make an interesting thread here

04 Ive seen a lot of with the Mike Vick version...and I can agree that was a fun game but I haven't seen a lot of Madden 08 praise....I may have to revisit that game. I have it and will dust it off...

Objectively, one of the PS2 Maddens.
From my heart, Madden 12. I STILL play that game with updated rosters every once in a while and have a blast (my favorite was with a 2018 roster last year, I played with the Bears and Mitch became the GOAT with 80 thousand passing yards and 9 superbowl wins lmao)

Which Madden did I have the most fun with? Madden 05 or 06.

Which Madden's gameplay on the field only would I take at this point? Madden 20's if the pass coverage issues are ironed out.

05 and 06 delivered some great gameplay on and off of the field for their time. The on-field gameplay these days is much better in my mind. It's far from perfect and there are still plenty of things I dislike heavily(the terrible 2-man animations for WR/DBs, the WWE tackles), but assignments on both sides of the ball are more detailed and play out more organically than those PS2 games obviously did.

However, Madden 20's CFM is so shallow that I'd honestly have a hard time saying it was definitely better than what 05 or 06 offered in their franchise modes. That shouldn't be the case, but we all know the story with CFM and how it has been one big bag of lies.

Also the pass blocking is really organic in madden 04. The animations are ugly, but the way it plays out I just love.
