When are you buying MLB 19 The Show?

When will you be buying this years game?

Thought this would be a cool poll to run to see the numbers on where the community stands on this.

Discuss why you are or aren't buying when you are!

I'm one of those obnoxious franchise only players (Won't go any further here but you all can probably guess how I feel about this game currently)
Personally, I'm gonna buy it, but for the first time since switching to PS in 2012, I won't buy on day one.

For years, I have bought MLB, NHL and FIFA day one. I have been noticing that this has a lot to do with FOMO and sometimes I regret making the purchase.

Like you, I’m a strictly franchise guy. With minimum updates this year, I’m going to hold off. I might get it when price drops but have no incentive day one.

Two other things play into that, working on personal discipline (I don’t need it) and the only way SDS feels it is when our wallets don’t.

When everyone complains about franchise then buys the game, their bottom line doesn’t change nor incentives to maybe cater the offline crowd.

Probably closer to the end of 2019. Basically, just to be able to import my 2018 stuff to 2019 and be ready for 2020 if I decide to purchase it.

For the first time since switching from Xbox to PS in 2009 I will not be pre ordering. I will purchase once the CRP roster is ready to go and the franchise bugs are worked out.

Every year I end up getting sucked into diamond dynasty while I wait for the roster and bug fixes for franchise. I am tired of grinding for the same diamond dynasty cards year after year.

So I’ll just wait to purchase until I can start my franchise.

Il’ll get it at some point, but not day one. Nothing about the game, just have other games I’m playing.

I chose preorder but I have not actually done so yet. I will probably wait until Thursday or Friday, just early enough to get the preload done. There is no added benefit to pre-ordering any earlier for digital editions so I don't do it.

Me too, the division just came out so I’m playing that. I won’t get it until I finish my main characters season. You have to play through one season or a character won’t import if I’m not mistaken. I started this season I’m in in the show 17, so I need to finish before I get 19. It’s my main guy that I started in 15, so it’s important I’m able to transfer him over.
