Baserunners Diving Back on Line Drive Hits (Glitch or User Error?)

Sometimes when I crush a line drive single and I have men on base, they will dive back at the moment of contact and end up being thrown out on a force play from the outfield. This has happened to me from time to time over the years, but I have noticed it more this year (and it has cost me multiple games).

My question is, is this some sort of legacy issue that others also experience, or is it something I am doing with the controller (like accidentally hitting R1 or something)?

Just a quick question and yes its silly, but you aren't by chance hitting the R1 button immediately with balls hit into play are you? I know there is absolutely no reason for you to, but thought I would ask.

Yeah I thought about that...but I really don't think I am...but if no one else is experiencing this, then it has to be something on my end. And just to clarify, it happens when I uses Power Swing and drill a line drive. The runners on base will go back to the bag, sometimes diving, making an easy force out from the outfield.

Never experienced this myself. Do you use auto baserunning or manual?

There are several threads on the auto baserunning being a problem for some users. Just do a quick search or scroll down--they were fairly recent. I don't think you are the only one having this issue by a long shot. I think there may even be a bug report that you could upvote if you look--I'm not having that issue, so I don't remember specifically.

Yeah, I saw that. I don't use Auto-Baserunning. Just the default mode.

Again happened! Ugh. Could it be R2? Like maybe I'm squeezing R2? Would that do it?
