The Joe Montana Football Issue

Here is how it goes:

We are no longer talking Joe Montana Football until it is a confirmed title. And by "confirmed" I mean someone with working knowledge confirms that it is a real title and is being developed and released at some point.

No more hype trains, no more speculation. There is a reason no other sites are picking up on this story. We aren't anymore either, until there is confirmation.

I'm leaving this thread open for a short time just in case anyone has questions. Please direct questions at me and keep the focus on this decision. Also keep all comments respectful ("all due respect" does not a respectful comment make).

I for one enjoy reading about all of the speculation on this game. Why not just create a JMF 16 open discussion thread? Do you guys honestly think there is no JMF 16 coming out?

I also found the discussion to be appealing at times. I don't understand what's so bad about an open discussion about this game. I thought that's the reason why we have a section for "other football games".

We don't know if there is one coming out. And the issue is that every thread devolves into either users fighting about it, attacking the "other game", or just spitting vitriol.

This is the stance we are taking. When the game is confirmed, I plan on opening it's own forum. But until then, this is the stance we are taking.

We have the "other football games" forum to discuss football games that less popular games, or games that are no longer being made.

At this point, as much speculation as there is, Joe Montana Football is not a football game, or a game at all.

Discussion/speculation are my favorite reasons for coming here. Whether it be about madden, NBA 2k, or the show reading and sharing ideas and stuff with other people is great. I think it's safe to say JM16 is a real game that is coming out, it'd be really fun to discuss and debate it with everyone here especially bc we havnt seen another football game in like 8 years.

I don't see the difference between a JM16 wish list thread and the madden 16 wish list thread. We know madden is coming out but its absolutely sure JM16 will be coming out also, just bc we don't know what consoles doesn't mean we shouldn't be able to speculate in my opinion.

Because you are creating a Wishlist for nobody. Wishlist threads on OS are normally created so that developer who frequent the site can get an idea what the community would like to see in their game.
