Atari's been in a downward spiral for over a decade now. They were bought up by a French company, tried to make a switch to cheaper gaming mediums, but even that didn't save them it seems. The end may be nigh for what was one of the first names I personally associated with gaming.

Atari will always hold a special place in my heart. First console I ever had.

Yup....this is what started it all for me way back in the late 70's....
