Resign players during the season?

How do you do it? i control all 30teams and im trying to resign some players but i cant do it

They have to meet two criteria:

1.) They must be in the final year of their contract
2.) They must have a high morale.

If these two are met, when you are viewing your roster and hit A (or X on PS3) it should have an option that says Resign player.

Otherwise you cannot resign players.

In my Bulls Assoc., I looked at the NBA.com thing and it said D.Rose wanted a new contract and I went to his profile under manage roster and the option came up to resign
