CPU vs CPU Players... How are you enjoying the game. Anything Specific you recommend?

I am really enjoying this game for what it is, the First New College Football Game in Over a Decade.

I went a Suggestion I saw in the OS Slider Section and I am running the game for CPU vs CPU on Freshmen Level. Truly don't know if the Level of Play effects CPU vs CPU but I am satisfied with it.

There are so many thread spread out all Over OS, I wanted to get one JUST FOR CPU vs CPU Players and get what they are doing to enjoy the Game.

Looking forward to hearing back from Everyone.

I am Using the Create A New Member and then RETIRE after the game to Spectate games in Dynasty Mode.

CPU VS CPU is awesome. I'm over user input and getting frustrated from my own dumb mistakes. Haha plus, the ratings will actually play out as intended this way. Finally, the game is absolutely gorgeous from the broadcast camera angle!

Hey man, respect to you been on these forums for 10+ years. Have used your sliders before. Lost my old account and had to make a new one. So let me say….because I’m about to make a thread in general. CPU vs CPU plays great, with a few bugs.

One being the CB press coverage bug, sometimes randomly when a CB is in man vs a WR and the WR runs a streak. The CB won’t initiate a press animation and let the WR run by him which results in a TD 99% of the time.

Second for some reason the QB only on the the team you as the user are using will take stupid sacks on HB slip screens. I feel like it’s a programming issue, or a playbook issue. It doesn’t happen to the team you are going against per se depends if you are watching a team you are not controlling or watching a game of the team you are controlling.

But besides that, I have created some great sliders been working on them since first day of early release.
Some good I will add and it’s so good, RATINGS MATTER. I’m one of those guys that after EVERY big play I go literally to check ratings to make sure my sliders translate to ratings on the field. And bro it lines up pretty good even on default. My sliders are sped up I went from 75 speed threshold to 58 I’ve learnt alot so far 50 plus cpu vs cpu games so far. I’m liking it wish we had coach mode but in my head I’m a scout/recruiting coordinator and or offensive game planner for whatever school. I’ve seen alot from animations to ratings so far. Feel free to chime in and make this experience better for us all

I agree. I try to watch as many games as possible to help cut down on all the Issues with Stats people are having when Simming games. Now when I say watch, I mean I don't sit thru every game. I start it and go do what I need to do then come back periodically. Sometimes the game is over and I just look at Stats.

I'm working on a set right now for Varsity level.

What I've noticed is the lowest you can keep a specific slider the more organic the game plays.

For example lowering Ball Security leads to more animations for tacklers to trying to strip the ball.

Lowering tackle slider leads to Elusive runners using their juke and spin moves more while power runners stay true to their power ratings for trucking and stiff arm.

Qba is the most tricky slider so far because EA went way over board on the qb accuracy ratings with the default rosters

You'll be shocked to see even with the slider as low 5 qb's van still light up you defense.

I'm only testing at the moment doing play now mode

Maybe the gameplay is better on lower levels like freshman and varsity because there are no difficulty buffs? I don't know the answer but I like what I see.

I’ve been running cpu vs cpu games all day in the background for a week now and I am seeing all kinds of different results. I keep the sliders default, Heisman difficulty and 10 min quarters. I keep it simple and it works for me. Been doing this since Madden 15. Very happy

This year it’s balancing QB acc with Pass Coverage and Reaction, there is tons of overthrow animations however I’ve seen them at 5 and at 55. It’s alot of other factors as well such as pass blocking to make the QB get the ball out faster to control percentages and to create more real life pass breakups. It’s all fun , I think we should get a thread where every one chimes in on each slider so that each person can build a slider set and game to their likings based off our findings in one thread.
