Anything less than first round win, is a waste of not shutting him down. It feels like the outcome will either be Embiid having a serious injury or they face Hawks in the play-in. Either Trae will drop 40+ in a win or the Sixers win and lose in 5 games in the first round

The timing of that injury is so bad. AD really wanted to display his talent and help the Mavs.

The mavericks really destroyed their reputation. I cant' see any free agents coming there before a long long time. Such a horrible way to treat your star players.

Anyone have any insight into why Williams failed his physical (or the physical process in general)?

A Lakers source said it was not related to his back so I'm curious. I'm also somewhat curious if teams could just use this as a opt out if they change their mind on a trade after agreeing to it.

I don't think the Lakers would exaggerate a physical when they badly need a C.

But to answer part of the question, Hornets are challenging that ruling with the NBA. Maybe thinking the Lakers physical wasn't done properly or they should've passed him or something. But we'll see where this goes.

Ingram signs 3 year 120m deal with Raptors.

I figured they wouldn't have a deal in place unless they for sure would sign him.

So really they just gave up a late 1st for a guy who'll be a starter on their team for 3 seasons and worst case if their team doesn't turn things around, you can easily flip him a year or two into that new deal and get more than what you gave up for him.
