WCW vs WWF
Show Rating: Nitro 87, Raw 85

TV Rating: Raw 3.06, Nitro 2.12

Main Event Rating: Raw 90, Nitro 90

Raw Main Event: Two Man Power Trip def. The APA in a steel cage in a match graded at 90.

Thoughts
–The TV rating shoots up to 2.12 with almost 1.6 million tuning in to see Sting cashing in his guaranteed world title shot from the T2 Cup and winning his 7th world title on the first Nitro on USA Network, the longtime home of the WWF, in a pretty good match. Page gets the ultimate revenge on Steiner, costing him the title.

–The gap between Raw and Nitro closes considerably with the two companies separated by less than one point now. How long will it take for Nitro to break Raw's three-year hold on the Monday Night Wars?

–The #1 contenders tournament will get underway next Monday night on Nitro with two quarterfinal matches from Tucson and the other two quarterfinal matches from the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis in two weeks.

–Kanyon costs Konnan the TV title and Vampiro wins his first singles title in WCW with a unique character and persona wasted by management back in the last years of WCW.
