There are now about 19,000 votes left to count in Georgia, if I’m doing the math right, and Biden needs to win them by 3,600 votes, or 19 percent, in line with a margin of 60-40 or thereabouts.

Ksyrup 11-05-2020 06:20 PM

Yep.

I didn't hear most of Trump, but if he's throwing the 138K votes in MI as evidence, that's been explained away.

I do think there is some dead people/out of state duplicate voting issues across the country. My guess is both sides do it and it likely cancels out, but given the instant access to information we now have, it will be easier than ever to find them. I posted one that might be valid earlier in this thread. 118 year old guy, died in 1984, may have voted absentee this year.

I’m noticing that GOP talking heads all seem to be on message in blurring stopping people voting after Election Day with stopping counting after Election Day. This is the type of subtle brainwashing that they are purposely reinforcing with their audience. It is absolutely not unusual for counting to take more than a week.

Trump's subdued demeanor and attitude reminded me of Nixon's, "You don't have Nixon to kick around any more, because, gentlemen, this is my last press conference." Funny how the guys who lie and cheat the most always feel deeply sorry for themselves.

Well, the good news is that if these form the basis of the allegations, they'll have to prove them in court fairly quickly. But I'm sure the Trumps are culling this "evidence" from the exact same social media sources we all can find. That's completely on brand for Trump.

Don Jr has specifically called out dead voters and out of state duplicate voters as part of the fraud. We'll see if there's anything in what is being alleged.

This is what he’s been doing for four years. Make shit up and when you can’t disprove it with facts because it’s so far out there, then that must make it true. And when you do present facts, it’s “fake news”.

Ksyrup 11-05-2020 06:52 PM

The reason I'm legitimately curious about the dead/out of state voter fraud is that I'm not aware of any crosscheck on this type of thing that would catch the fraud. Does any state crosscheck voter rolls with deaths? If someone moves out of state, or you have possible dual residences (like college students), is there any interstate check on that stuff? What prevents a college student from registering at home and at school in another state?

Seems to me these scenarios are very much like 1970s law enforcement where you have serial rapists/killers in the county or state right next store and no one knew they were the same person because they had no database or information-sharing system.

Mainly just thinking out loud, but this is the crux of some of the fraud Trump's people are claiming exists.

The Trump campaign set up a voter fraud hotline that I'm 100% sure isn't getting trolled. One of the videos circulating on right wing social media turned out to be from Russia.

I read multiple reports of people who early voted, died, and had their vote nullified. So some states check.

This stuff should be easy to check. If it's massive fraud, prove it in court. Simple

The funny thing about where the last several states fall is that AZ is LEAST likely for Biden at this moment (putting aside AK/NC, which everyone assumes are Trump), and Fox News called it for Biden 2 days ago and set off the Trump decent into (further) madness.

Do they actually nullify in that scenario? Dead candidates can be elected, but votes from those who die after casting a vote don't count?

OK, how about a real world example. My brother moved from NC to RI 2 years ago. He received absentee ballot info from NC a couple months ago at his old address which got forwarded to him in RI. If he had decided to commit voter fraud and voted absentee in NC and in-person in RI, would anyone have figured it out?

Nope. I am still registered to vote in South Carolina. I moved from there on 8/1/2014. I just checked a moment ago to verity, and I'm still a registered voter there. I don't recall if SC has voter ID laws, but if not, any of my neighbors who knew where I used to live could claim to be me and vote in my name. Or perhaps I could get an absentee ballot. But they'd be risking a felony over one vote.
And in 2016, I checked and was still registered in DeKalb County. I moved from there in 2006. At some point in the last four years they finally removed my registration. I don't know when.
