Everyone needs to add a picture to their Gamecenter ID. I like it when I see the picture pop up when I'm about to stick you in the corner.

Doesn't have to be of you. The dogs and horse pictures are fine, but it gives me some connection without having to process the names while I'm thinking about corner entry speed and whatnot.

well, I have my FB picture in there, good luck trying to stick ME in the corner though. :P

For Caylus, there was some talk about it a little while back although I never tried the game...

I have caylus and liked it ok. If you enjoy that type of board game (a little similar to games like le Havre, Stone Age, Puerto Rico, etc) you would probably like this one too. The IOS version I have been told does a fair job of replicating the real game.

You are one of a few builders for a new castle and start off with very few coins to build with. You take your turns contributing to certain parts of the castle with the idea of trying to collect the most victory points in each round to win the game.

I think them and 'point and click' games are the best utilized with the touch screen. I've had a real issue with games that use a 'virtual joystick'.

In the RR3 events calling for the highest speed attained in a single lap, does anyone achieve their top speed without a horrific crash immediately after? Seems like you can always get an extra mph or two if you don't mind accelerating into the wall.

Have thought about it, but have always hit the brakes in order to save $$$ in repairs... Still, I know I'll try it one of these days...

I did a speed contest in the ford shelby.. hit 147, hit the brakes and slid through the turn, the grass, the gravel and finally tapped the wall softly.

hrm, you guys are driving without any braking assist then?

I have found that it's almost impossible to hit the wall really hard with the braking assist at low, the assist will break if ever so softly that it'll slow down my car enough not to crash too hard. Then again, I'm having a harder time winning the speed events, heh.

Only some traction control, no steering or braking assist...

no steering either here but I tried to take off the braking assist and I feel like I never see the corner coming so I always break late... Traction control is also a must for me to have fun...

I've been going with no brakes or traction, but steering on. I'm not really sure what the traction control does.

I kind of liked that. With TC on, I couldn't get my car to turn at all some times. I assume that means I was going too fast to make the turn, but I'd rather slide than keep heading straight.

Only on those Fastest speed somewhere during the lap...

then I did another race and forgot I turned it off and wrecked the car through the first turn as i didn't slow down at all..... oops.

Can anyone recommend any good RPGs on the iphone/ipad? I'm looking for something like Secret of Mana or Chrono Trigger, something along those lines.

Just picked up FIFA 13 since it was on sale for 99 cents. However I'm very bad. Even in the second difficulty level i cant score many goals. Any tips?

It just takes time, do some of the drills. It's much easier for me on the xbox then it is with the ipad mini, but I'm getting much better.

On my iDevices right now I have Final Fantasy Dimensions (I bought it when it was on sale), Cthulu Saves the World, Baulder's Gate, On the Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 (the Penny Arcade game).

An old-school RPG is Dragon Fantasy. The guys who make it are actually making an update and brining it to Vita and are bringing Dragon Fantasy II to Vita, too (Sony is really looking for small developers to do Vita stuff).

Square Enix also put out a series of games called "Chaos Rings." I played the first one and thought it was pretty good (and easily played in small sessions). I didn't end up buying the sequels, though, mostly because they were large games at the time and I had small devices (memory-wise). There are also a lot of the old remakes, including Final Fantasy I, II, Final Fantasy Tactics, ChronoTrigger, Phantasy Star II. I haven't played any of these.

There are also the following which I bought based on various recommendations I read, but haven't played. Some may be less like Mana and CT, more 3rd person:

just picke up the game and it is such a nice looking and playing game, wow. Started a manager game with the Montreal Impact just for fun.

not right now but an upcoming update will add this functionality, hopefully as early as by mid April, from what I read on TouchArcade...

Fifa 13 is a really good game. The player animation is excellent. I love a game that I can live through the animation. A goal makes me pump my fist in the air every time and I can watch the replay from all 4-5 angles before going on with my game... Had a few games going to shootouts in the bronze or the silver tournament and that was fun too.

For the ultimate team can you change the game length. Also every game starts in beginner difficulty and I haven to change it each time. Does that happen to others.

A lot of people today seem to be raving about "Slayin'," calling it a micro-RPG where basically you have buttons to decide which way to face and a button to jump and you "fight" bad guys and gain power ups. I grabbed it (99 cents), seemed like something I'd like...

I also picked up Nimble Quest (haven't played yet) and iOOTP 13.

how the hell did you get to 104? I never see any cars to pass after about 25 miles (1st place)

I kept running into wave after wave of cars. Often, they were standing almost still. I had to keep slamming on the breaks to not hit them at full speed.

that's the one on the Indy Spwedway that I mentioned before, right? If so, I'm quite happy I beat it before you got along ;)

My top three series are at 100%. Working on the 4th, now with 20 cars in the garage

I'm thinking maybe you'l show up as an "elite" guy that we need to have a gold to race against...

That's the one. I was both hoping for, and dreading my shot at that track. Not sure if I will bother trying to beat all my friends on that one.

Yeah, I nevet rerace the endurance events to beat my friends. The return in R$/minute is never worth it. The cups are still always my go-to events to make money.

yeah.. cup events are fun... i've even come around to enjoying southbank (melbourne). though the elimination events are tough if you don't have really good 0-60 (100?) times.

I've been giving RR3 a whirl recently - Game Center ID is illegal contact for those lonely souls seeking friends.

I still really like RR3 although Fifa13 has taken a lot of my time recently. Really well done. I'm slowly building my ultimate team through playing the lower kind of tournaments. Getting to know the rules that make for better chemistry through the team and spending my earned gold almost as soon as I get it...

I love it in a cup event when I have the feeling that my car is not fast enough in a straight line but I can get to work my way through in turns and eventually I get to pass 2 or 3 cars to eanr a few spots up in the ranks. Just a fun feeling. :)

A year late for me, wish I had seen this post before. I recently found zen pinball for my ipad and have been playing it a ton over the weekend. The free board that comes with it is incredible I think, even better than alot of the pay boards.

My daughters all loved watching me play it too all weekend and wanted to take turns. I have some favorites so far, but Epic Quest and Sorcerer's Lair are at the top.

I still enjoy the pinball! It's a lot nicer to play on the iPad than the iPhone, though. Much easier to see...

RR3 update is live! 2 new Chevies, a new Hunter mode, 100 new events and even better, cloud sync! Can't wait to update on the iPad and install on my iPhone when I get home later on.
