All those dumb stunts in Florida and he isn't even close. Just pathetic.
|
Totally worth him and Abbott (with some other smaller states) working hard to drive that standard of living down locally to own the libs

The Grand Jury in NYC didn't even meet today, and is not likely to meet till next week. This is starting to look like another big tease to a nothing-burger.

The speculation is they're arranging a rebuttal witness to Guiliani's attorney that testified Monday. One that isn't Cohen. |
Quote:
I saw that they are now on standby for tomorrow. one reason I saw is that they are bringing back a witness to testify or like Atocep said |
What are the odds to the speculation that the NY DA has been told to stand tight because the DOJ expects to hand down an indictment tomorrow?

None of it is true. We've been doing this dance for 7yrars and nothing has ever happened, why do we keep pretending like it matters.
We're as bad as the lock her up morons. |
I'm sure this time there's no way he can escape punishment.
|
Quote:
Even if he does get convicted, his lawyers will drag out his appeals. Trump will die of old age before he sees any punishment. |
We've got SkyNet by the balls, don't we?
|
The GOP is a party for Trump.

I don't get this post in this context Oh, I guess it means that you aliens have Skynet under control. Gotcha. |
Thought this was funny. Throwback for old wrestling fans.

Here you go. |
The NY grand jury is taking April off.
I'm sure the next rumors will be true and he'll have to face judgment. |
Was it really a rumor? Wasn't this one set off by Trump himself?

Disney completely out maneuvered DeSantis on the Reedy Creek board. It seems the day before the power transfered, the old Disney board put a legal covenant in place that prevents the new board from basically changing anything for 30 years. So now they have a long, expensive legal battle to be able to do anything but sit there. That explains why Disney chose not to fight this.

It's hilarious. Disney basically left the board with road maintenance responsibilities and nothing else. |
Kind of wondering if Desantis ever fights back against Trump. He's been getting thrashed on an almost daily basis with no retort.
|
Reading some of the stories, where Disney now has all the rights instead of a board that they more or less owned - you almost wonder if they orchestrated this fight to being with. Or at least duped DeSantis into it. Or, hell, worked with him on it and all of this is for show. DeSantis gets to claim he fought in the Social Justice War and Disney gets to claim they were inclusive while getting the rights to control everything legally.
SI |
I love that part of that new covenant is in perpetuity, or if it legally can't be, then until 21 years after the last decendant of King Charles III has passed. Just *chef's kiss*

Is the King Charles thing the lawyer equivalent of doing a bat flip after a homer? Seems like something someone had fun with. |
Whenever I would argue with people about the Disney thing I would always say if the Desantis move was bad for Disney they would have fought it.
His star is falling very fast. |

Royal lives clause - Wikipedia Americans used to use Kennedy's but they started dropping like flies. |
And surprise: Trump is indicted in Manhattan.

I'm sure this time he'll face punishment.

What is sad is my first thought was "which case"
|
I'm hearing there is no truth to the rumors that Steve Bannon has pulled up at Maralago in a white Bronco.

Will all of the GOP textualists impeach Trump if he's indicted on a misdemeanor?

It's weird that it's the most ticky tack case they could find. Out of all the crimes he committed in the open, this is the one they go after him for. Guessing part of that is the DOJ is filled with a bunch of pussies. |
Quote:
Yeah, I wonder if they'll make him roll up his sleeve before slapping him on the wrist. |
Does he have to turn himself in and get a mugshot like us common folks? Genuine question.
|
I think the Secret Sevice will escort him to court, and he will be processed. There is not likely to be perp walk or handcuffs involved.

I really wish this had been the final, "pile on" case, not the first (and possibly only) case.
|
Quote:
yes and you can 100% guarantee he will monetize that mug shot |
I get that this is a big story, but it isn't a live cameras at the courthouse with helicopters flying overhead.
|
Especially when nothing is likely to happen till tomorrow. Has the DA announced a press conference yet?

I suspect there was some value to having a fig leaf cover up the fact that the whole Reedy Creek thing, originally, was just a way to let Disney do whatever it wanted, without it seeming like it was usurping local elected goverment. When it became clear that DeSantis was willing to turn that fig leaf into his own bazooka, the fig leaf lost its value to Disney. |

Yes |
Trump's attorney says he supposed to turn himself in next week, meanwhile Desantis says that Florida will not help in expediting him if asked. They won't be, but he is trying to look tough.
|
So for those saying he's just going to get away with all because he's Trump, i hope you have a little more faith in the judicial system. Even if a jury finds him innocent or can't decide. And we don't even know what they are charging him with other than its a felony. And the Georgia and Jan 6 grand juries are still out there waiting.
|
I'm pretty positive he'll want the full fingerprint, handcuffed, perp walk on camera for his campaign fund and propaganda.
|
Quote:
My lack of faith in the judicial system is because he is wealthy, not specifically that he's Trump. |
34 counts in the indictment,
|
I love how people that claim dems rig elections are now saying this indictment wins the 2024 election for Trump.
|
Does this indictment hand the nomination to DeSantis because Trump might be off the board?
SI |
Nah, the indictment makes them fight harder for Trump.
and 30+ counts on the indictment? Woah. if they could get 30+ out of hush money payments, how many are they going to get out of the other Trump legal problems.. |
With 34 counts I think we're looking at more than just hush money here.
|
"34 counts of falsification of business records" according to some talking head on CNN, which I am reading third-hand fwiw.
