His team's response to the accusations are amazing and insane in how normalized they are for the Republican party.

Yeah I agree but where would you go in the country to find jurors who aren't biased for or against him? They are going to have to be extra thorough in their jury questionnaires and selection process. Try to find people who have pretty much ignored everything political or Trump related.

I do. He will try every legal manuever he can to delay or dismiss like we saw with his taxes until he has no other choice but to face a jury. I don't think he can plead the 5th there. And the rape trial with Carroll and two other women is moving forward too today. Now he might try to make a deal at that point to try to get a lesser sentence, but even that may be too much for him to admit he's guilty. I honestly think he's going to end up in a prison with psychology evaluation and treatment whether he wants it or not.

The GOP has trained their voters to not care about economic issues (except as proxy for culture issues (i.e. too many black people getting welfare)). So their base does not care about economic issues.

It has helped keep the base energized in the short term, but I wonder if the long-term strategy is a bit lacking.
