Indeed. Considering we had identical teams playing very conservative, I wasn't shocked it ended up being such a nail biter.

Working on it, but there weren't too many. It was a fairly tight defensive game for most of the game. One of my best plays was a punt that I managed to put out on the 3 yard line. The 72 yard run was my only big highlight play. Although, the game ending interception was nice.

I saved 3 videos, but can't find them in the game. Did it automatically upload them to EAsportsworld's site?

Edit: Nevermind, I found them.

The EASportsworld menu is buried in a sub menu. Start navigating down like you are going to change slider settings and poke around - should find it.

Good game, BigDPW! We played his NCState vs my Washington team (those are our teams in the FOFC Online leagues) and it went to double OT before I won 31-24.

For me, tonight's 2 games online were the smoothest online experience I've ever had with a sports game. There were a few seconds worth of hiccups in the 2nd game with BigDPW, but other than that, it was almost as smooth as playing offline.

Also, this could be my imagination, but it seemed like I got more pressure on the QB in both online games than my 1 offline game.

Edit: I really want to play another game, but I'm tired and should go to sleep..

Are you going to stay out of playing NOFL members in the regular games until the dynasty starts?

I'll play whoever. I'm not that worried about revealing all of my gameplay strategies in one game. However, I'm not playing anymore tonight. Just doing a few things for work and then going to sleep.

I was wondering what everyone was open to in terms of who they'll play.

Good game Kodos. After our freeze game right before the half, we were able to get a full game in. He picked me off three times in the 2nd half, returning one of them for a pick-six, and won 31-13.

Our freeze happened when I brought up the menu to call a timeout with 3 seconds left in the first half. The stadium was still in motion in the background, but the menu wouldn't respond at all.

Good game, cartman. It cut off our conversation at the end. That wasn't me! Fun game. Impressed so far.

I'll play anyone. Not worried about giving away strategies at all.

Not your imagination - pretty sure I saw this over on OS when early impressions were being thrown out.

One thing I am disappointed on is they seemingly removed the ability to take pictures of replays AFTER the game. In '08 you could watch a full replay of any play in the game once it was finished in full replay mode. This year it seems that after the game you can only look at these plays by turning them into highlights. What it means is that during online dynasty games there will essentially be no pictures other than whatever the game might take itself.

Yeah, not sure what happened there either. It must have disconnected us when I clicked on the "leave feedback" option.

I definitely need to get some facetime with the game. I don't know how many intentional grounding calls I got when I hit the RB instead of LB, when the receiver I was supposed to throw to was on the right side. :D

I enjoyed those.

Played one game last night. Just loaded up on varsity and played 5 minute quarters. I didn't have the game last year and this is my first time playing on a nextgen system with a badass tv.

Wow. First thing I'll say - the game is beautiful.

Otherwise. I'm WAY rusty. Threw a lot of stupid passes that against a human opponent will absolutely kill me.

Interesting. Some head-scratching DB AI in that video. He's with the receiver the whole way and then decides to run away from the ball and the receiver when he should be doing the exact opposite. Looks really similar to a lot of the AI bugs that we've seen in other videos.

Eh, he just changed his angle a bit and then gave up on the ball when the WR got near the end zone. Maybe he should have dove at his ankles, but that one isn't nearly as bad as the one from a couple of days ago when the dude did a 360.

On the PS2 front, I'm pretty happy with some of the reviews I've seen, so I think I'll be getting it (for my birthday, in a month). I'm not really in a football mood yet, so I can wait.

I was referring to the point just before where he caught the ball. I understand that the stuff downfield was fine. He didn't change his angle, he ran away from the ball and the receiver at the most crucial moment in the play. But maybe I'm not factoring in the intelligence rating of the player.

Looks to me as if the WR was running a comeback...the DB turned and was looking for the ball and it had already passed him. He then turned around and ran after the WR. That happens quite often in a regular game when playing man.

Dola...I hate that I have to wait 2 weeks to get this game. I am going on vacation this Saturday and told myself I wouldn't buy it till I came back.

I still don't have a problem with how that play came out. Maybe the DB's ratings suck and that's the game's graphic representation of him getting burned on a comeback and then basically giving up at the end of the run. I think you're expecting way too much realism from a game if you're going to nitpick that as being unrealistic.

You're right. I do expect realism in a sports game. Perhaps I'm asking too much of EA.
